Cascade Clamps - Cascade Manufacturing Company was established in Portland, Oregon in the year 1943. They started out as a small machine shop initially hiring 4 people. Sales for their initial year of operation amounted to about $60,000. The first recorded sales revenues involved the assembly and machining of stainless steel pipe fittings, valves and other components. During 5 years of operation, the business had expanded to 40 workers and their yearly sales volume had increased to $330,000. Now, Cascade is one of the leading worldwide makers in the material handling business.
Production and design of the company's first hydraulic cylinder paved the way in Cascade's aggressive pursuit of better business opportunities. During the last sixty years, the material handling business has developed into a very advanced field and Cascade has proudly performed a part on this growth. Through the nineteen fifties, Cascade began to fabricate, design, and sell its hydraulic accessories.
